The Most Amazing Celebrity Mansions

Hollywood stars seem as far away as the real stars in our skies. With their glamorous lifestyle, expensive cars, and movie appearances, they’re in a completely different circle from normal people. It’s not just their talent and the fact that they appear in movies and television shows, but it’s also in their lifestyle.

Imagine earning millions of dollars for just a single TV series episode or a two-hour movie – they may be the luckiest stars in this business. They also get a huge amount of money from endorsements, commercials, and collaborations, aside from their salaries. Some of them have businesses of their own, too!

No wonder superstar homes are truly amazing and super! With their large spaces, modern amenities, amazing architecture, and tasteful interiors, it’s truly a dream come true. Unfortunately, not all of us can afford the home insurance needed for those, and so the only thing we can do is turn green of envy as we look at their lavish houses online and in magazines.

So let’s live vicariously through the stars on this list.

Oprah Winfrey | $50 Million, California

Everybody knows Oprah. She’s the type of celebrity that doesn’t need any introduction because even if you don’t know who she is, you would’ve already heard about her. Her reputation precedes her. The talk show host is a self-made millionaire, and she started from the bottom to reach her goals.

And now, she’s enjoying all her hard work with several real estate investments in California. One of which she named “Promised Land”. The “Promised Land” indeed fulfills all its promises with its 23-square foot living space after she bought it back in 2001 for $50 million. According to reports, Oprah used her charm so that its previous owners would sell this land to her. Everything is opulent down to its flooring. It is a far cry from the house that she grew up in, and this is just one of the too many homes she has in her portfolio.

Beyonce and Jay-Z | $88 Million, Los Angeles

Beyonce and Jay-Z are powerful figures all on their own, what more together? This music couple royalty has a collective net worth that exceeds a billion dollars. With their combined achievements, contributions, and earnings, they and their family are set for life and beyond. They are known for their lavish lifestyles, going here and there, and buying this and that.

To prove this, they closed one of the most expensive real estate purchases in the history of Los Angeles. The City of Stars is the site of their new $88 million mansion. This is just an addition to their growing real estate portfolio of the family. The mansion has its own spa, wellness facility, and dozens of rooms. Given the popularity of their family, it also comes with a top-of-the-line home security system, while being tucked in the luxurious neighborhood of Bel-Air.

Scarlett Johansson | $3.8 Million, Los Angeles

Despite Black Widow’s famous red hair, the actress is far from red when it comes to her finances. Flushed with the success of the Avengers franchise, the actress is now enjoying her achievements and earnings and has expanded her investments in real estate.

Most of her other real estate investments have already been sold. She bought a mansion in the Los Feliz area back in 2014 for $3.8 million. It’s definitely fit for an A-list actress. The mansion was built in the 1940s, and despite its age, it has kept up with the times when it comes to its home security system. It comes with four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a step-down living room complete with a marble fireplace, sprawling on almost an acre of land. It also has a huge kitchen accentuated with marble and quartz countertops that fit a successful celebrity like her.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis | $10 Million, Beverly Hills

The love story between Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis is well-known not only in Hollywood but even beyond–wherever they have fans, it seems. Their love for each other is famous for being somewhat laid back.

This seems to be reflected in their decision to sell Ashton’s glass-walled Hollywood Hills bachelor pad for $12 million and move to Beverly Hills with their family. Their home cost $10 million. Their mansion has five bedrooms and 3,100 square feet of living space. It’s now on sale for $13,995,000. It’s a great purchase for anyone looking to add to their investments. It will surely fit a big family with its six bedrooms, six bathrooms, plenty of patio space, and a veranda that has the most relaxing view. The house also comes with an outdoor bar, so the grown-ups can just stay and have fun while looking after their kids inside.

Heidi Klum | $24 Million, Los Angeles

Heidi Klum remains to be one of the most well-known supermodels in the world, having frontlined more than a few brand advertising campaigns, including that of Bobbi Brown, Givenchy, and Volkswagen. Her endorsements propelled her to a successful career. Now, she’s an executive producer.

Klum reportedly sold her Brentwood mansion for $24 million. The property has a large sprawling area and comes with amenities such as a spa, golf course, a hiking trail, and a great view of the California skyline. She purchased it with her ex-husband, Seal, back in 2010. With its original price being $14.2 million, she’s really getting the most from her investments after hiring a team that spent six months to restore the eight-bed and ten-bath house. They replaced all the windows, removed all the stains from the woodwork, updated all the appliances, expanded the garden, and built a master bathroom.

Britney Spears | $9 Million, California

The 90s pop princess has moved on to rule as a queen in her own right. The star, to a huge degree, can be credited for the large change in the musical landscape of that decade.

She used to live in a mansion in Lake Sherwood, California. The property is a hacienda-style mansion with 8,456 square feet of opulence and comes with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a home theater, and a pool. The pop star parted with it for $9 million. Whoever bought the property made a good investment because it also came with an amazing view of lovely Santa Monica. It carries an Italian villa-style that comes with a chandelier-topped foyer that leads to the vaulted-ceiling living room. It also has a formal dining room and a chef’s kitchen, where the family can enjoy a garden-view breakfast on the island. If that’s not enough, the house features a home theater and a master suite with its own fireplace and private loggia.

Justin Bieber | $60,000/month, Hollywood Hills

From one pop star to another, Justin Bieber was THE artist of the 2010s. He started out quite young and rode his newfound fame to adulthood, which granted him more than enough fans and earnings. In total, he has a $285 million net worth from his songs, concerts, and appearances.

Given this, he opted to rent a mansion in Hollywood for $60,000 per month. It was designed by architect Ed Niles who made it look more like a shopping home than a home.
It came with a modern design and the owner had spent a whopping $10.5 million for its incredible architecture. The house was even called the Salad Spinner. Aside from being massive, it’s transparent as well, as it is made up of walls of glass and custom stainless windows and doors, giving its inhibitors a good view of the city and the ocean. Justin has since moved out and put his investments in a mansion for him and his wife.

Cher | $45 Million, Malibu

American singer and music icon, Cher, reportedly put her Malibu mansion up for sale in 2008 but ended up keeping it, saying that she couldn’t part with the property. However, the mansion found its way to Beyonce sometime in 2012, who purchased it for $45 million.

The 1.7-acre mansion changed hands from one icon to another. The reason behind Cher’s change of heart is unknown. She had the property since 1992 as part of her investment portfolio. Whatever the reason is, she’s had a great many years with the property and it is now in the good hands of a fellow artist. Cher has more investments in other places. Beyonce is now probably enjoying the three-story house as its six bedrooms are perfect for her family. It also comes with seven bathrooms, so they don’t have to wait for others to finish before they can use it.

Cameron Diaz | $4.5 Million, Manhattan

Awarded actress and There’s Something About Mary star, Cameron Diaz put her Manhattan property up on the market way back in 2015. The actress had it for a while and had made many beautiful memories in it.

It was designed by Kelly Wearstler, has 1,400 square feet of space, and comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house was accented with bright, vibrant colors and gave its owners a relaxing view of a black tree line. It also featured metallic details and was furnished with vintage and custom-made pieces that completed its lavish design. Could you imagine that these great features were part of the sale? It went on the market with a price tag of $4.25 million. The property sold so fast – in just 47 days as a matter of fact. It was one of her great investments considering she bought it only for $2.95 million in 2008.

Brad Pitt | $1.7 Million, Los Feliz

Brad Pitt, the star of films such as Troy and Fight Club, assumed ownership of the Los Feliz property after his divorce with long-time partner, Angelina Jolie. The two starred together in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, wherein their love blossomed, giving birth to Brangelina ship.

Reportedly, Brad purchased the sprawling Los Feliz mansion for $1.7 million back in 1994. Since then, he’s put investments in its renovations and even purchased the adjacent lot to extend the home. It seems to be one of Brad’s favorite properties as it has stayed with him after he’s bought and sold other properties. Why wouldn’t he? The property came with four conjoined lands that had its massive pool, private tennis court, and four remodeled buildings of its own. It is surely hard to find a property of this kind nowadays and would probably come with a much higher price tag.

Rihanna | $22 Million, Barbados

Artist, influencer, and business woman, Rihanna has proven that a woman can be anything and everything she wants to be. Her enviable life isn’t limited to her awards, lifestyle, and talent but also extends to her real estate knowledge.

Rihanna bought a property in Barbados that provides a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Her Instagram stories prove the luxury of her five-bedroom condominium by the sea. The complex was developed by Michael Tabor, whose net worth is said to be in the range of $2 billion. Rihanna’s property is equipped with a state-of-the-art home security system, allowing her privacy to relax. She can surely enjoy its infinity pool, outdoor whirlpool, fully-equipped gym, and 24-hour concierge and service. Rihanna makes it look like she’s staying in her own hotel, which speaks volumes of luxuriousness, not to mention her lavish and wealthy lifestyle.

Barbara Walters | $10.35 Million, New York City

Barbara Walters is a respected American broadcast journalist, author, and television personality with a career that spans over 60 years. Her years in the business, with appearances in The Today Show and ABC Evening News, equipped her to purchase an upper Eastside mansion.

The property had been listed on the market for $10.35 million and anyone who had withdrawn their investments to buy this mansion is in for a ride. It comes with Hepburn-esque elegance, coffered ceilings, parquet flooring, and it is located at Central Park, near Madison Avenue, providing great and easy access to all their needs. With its great features and amenities, this house doesn’t need to be linked to a celebrity name to be lavish. Its modern architecture and enhancements are enough to show its opulence to please and entice the buyers. Who can even resist these great features?

Gwyneth Paltrow | $5.6 Million, Hamptons

Multi-awarded actress and businesswoman, Gwyneth Paltrow, seems to have kept the $5.6 million Hamptons mansion after her “conscious uncoupling” with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. It seems like her lawyer really brought his game to the bargaining table to get her this beautiful property. The house features five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, sprawling on 7,000 square feet of living space. It also comes with nanny’s rooms, an incredible view of the ocean, and a huge pool where their kids could enjoy.

She shares the mansion with her two children, Moses and Apple. It caused quite the stir when the press found out that she and her new husband Brad Falchuk don’t live together. However, it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the two as Brad continues to divide his time between Los Angeles and his shared homes with his wife.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban | $2.75 Million, Tennessee

Some properties, despite being previously owned by celebrities, don’t fetch the price they were initially listed for. However, it’s often not a complete loss. Case in point: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Tennessee property.

They initially put their property up for sale for a price tag of $3.45 million back in 2017. However, after a few months of getting no offers, they reduced it by almost a million and listed it at $2.75 million. It was finally sold for $2.7 million in 2018. To some degree, it wasn’t that bad considering they purchased it for $2.45 million back in 2007. The new owner would surely love this place. It is not only located in a secluded area but also boasts 35 acres of land with 5,086 square feet of living space. The house features four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a guest cottage, barn, garden, and trails.

Sean Hannity | $3.6 Million, Long Island, New York

Sean Hannity has had a long run in the industry, hosting the show Hannity on Fox Channel. The talk show host and political pundit listed his Long Island mansion for $3.6 million in 2014.

The property stands on a sprawling area, with red roofing and a statuesque façade. Reportedly, Hannity put the property up for sale because he wanted to leave New York after having a disagreement with the New York Governor due to Hannity’s conservative agenda. There are no reports about whether the house is still on the market but judging from its value, there’s no way it can stay on the market for too long. Who can resist its 8,000 square feet of living space, seating on two acres of land? The traditional home was built in 2001, so the new owners might only do a little renovation here and there.

Lebron James | $23 Million, Los Angeles

Lebron James is one of the best players in the history of the NBA, and he is as famous as he is infamous. His hard work and endorsements paid off seeing as he purchased a $23 million home in Los Angeles. The number is quite noticeable, given that his LA Lakers jersey is number 23 as well.

His property comes with 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, an in-house theater, a wine cellar, and a cigar room. Given his fame and fortune, and after an incident of racist vandalism, it also comes with a high-tech home security system. It’s definitely a great investment, especially since it comes with city-to-ocean views and a whopping 15,846 square feet of living space. With its massive size, it is no surprise that James also has it installed with its own elevator. If you are as affluent as him, you will surely not mind spending a few hundreds of dollars to make your house like a private hotel.

Kaley Cuoco | $2.95 Million, California

Known as Penny from the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco has put her gorgeous California mansion up for sale. It was originally listed for $6.9 million, but due to lack of interest, its price tag was slashed by more than half and was listed for $2.95 million. Unfortunately, this was a loss for Cuoco given that she parted with $5.5 million worth of investment money to acquire it from Khloe Kardashian back in 2014. However, as one of the highest-paid TV actresses during the Big Bang Theory run, she might have not minded spending a huge amount of money back then, especially if it was on 8,000 square feet of curated living space. It has some of the best home features, like a rotunda entry, a movie theater, six bedrooms, and eight baths.

Cuoco now lives with her husband in a far more glamorous home in Hidden Hills, California. It’s more of an estate than a home, worth $11.75 million.

Hugh Jackman | $21 Million, West Village

The multi-talented and multi-faceted actor Hugh Jackman has played so many varying roles but none as iconic as the character of Wolverine from the X-Men film series. Now that he’s hung up the suit and claws, Jackman’s off relaxing in his mansion in West Village.

The actor bought the home back in 2008, in the midst of the economic recession, for $21 million – half of its true value! The original price tag was $40 million but due to the crisis, the then-owner had to slash down the price. Needless to say, the property is a great addition to Jackman’s portfolio. His investment really brought him more income. The house is indeed worth every penny since it’s a masterpiece by the renowned architect Richard Meier. It has a modern style and a gigantic 11,000 square feet of living space. In case you don’t know, it is formerly owned by Sun Microsystems co-founder Bill Joy, so don’t be surprised by its classy design.

Teri Hatcher | $1.49 Million, Studio City, California

Teri Hatcher is well-known for having played Lois Lane in the long-running hit series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and as Susan Mayer from Desperate Housewives. Through her projects and endorsements, Hatcher was able to amass an impressive net worth that allowed her to buy a $1.48 million home in 2000.

The California mansion has 4.5 bedrooms and 4,106 square feet of living space. If you want to live in it for real, you can rent it for $25,000 to $30,000 per month, depending on whether you prefer long or short-term. It comes with two living rooms, one on each side of the main entryway. One of them is much larger than the other, with a cathedral ceiling and a fireplace of its own. She really knows how to make her investments work for her.

Will Smith | $43 Million, California

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is still living large! Will Smith purchased a Stephen Samuelson-designed mansion sometime around 2010, only to put it up for sale several years later for a whopping $43 million.

It’s worth every penny though with its huge sprawling area, 9 bedrooms and 25,000 square foot of living space. The home was constructed in 2003 and it came with adobe-styled interiors. It also has a meditation lounge, recording studio, basketball court, and a large swimming pool. If those are not enough, it also boasts a breakfast area that gives the family a great view, overlooking a neighboring lake. It also has its own gaming area, screening room, and other functional rooms that you can think of. In fact, the property has its own zip code because of its massive size. His daughter, Willow Smith, shot her music video in the property. Smith really knows his investments.

Alicia Keys | $14.9 Million, New Jersey

New York has never had another anthem as beautiful as Alicia Key’s Empire State of Mind. There’s really just something about that song that gives people a feel of New York city–the restaurants, the museums, the buildings, and the busy people walking around. In any case, Keys and her multi-awarded husband, Swizz Beats, put their lavish 32-room mansion up for sale back in 2015 for $14.9 million. And if the pictures of the home online are any indication, the investment property is indeed a stunner.

It wasn’t reported that it was sold but given it’s been listed since 2015, it most likely already was. Who would miss buying a mega-mansion with the said given price? It’s not called mega for nothing, with its 32 rooms and a land area of 5.42 acres. The two-parcel state is actually Eddie Murphy’s former property.

Michael Jordan | $15 Million, Chicago

Whether you’re a hardcore NBA fan or just a casual one, there’s no doubt that you know Michael Jordan. He’s transcended being the GOAT to become a legend of the sport and it is all due to his talent, hard work, and charisma. However, it seems that his charisma doesn’t translate to being a good salesman.

His home in Chicago has been on the market for 8 years now as of 2020. The mansion was originally listed for $29 million but the price has since been halved due to a general lack of interest in the property. He even offers to give the interested buyer every pair of Air Jordan just to get rid of it, but sadly, to no avail. It looks like the sports icon has to keep his mansion forever. Michael has many other great investments, this just isn’t one of them.

Susan Lucci | $20 Million, The Hamptons

The Hamptons is notorious for its expensive and beautiful homes. It’s been home to many stars over the decades. This includes Susan Lucci, who was – at one point — widely regarded as “Daytime’s Leading Lady” because of her then-status as the highest-paid actress in daytime television.

She sold her lavish home in the Hamptons for $20 million back in 2016, after struggling to sell it for two years. The mega-mansion was designed to stand out, similar to its former owner, with its beautiful European architecture and glamour. It’s surely a great investment for the new owner, given the oceanfront views. It is also a custom-built house designed by late famed Hamptons’ designer Eugene Futterman himself. Built back in 1989, it brags about its classic Shingle Style design with unique additions. It has a huge hexagonal turret, several porches, decks, and balconies, sprawling on 10,622 square feet of living space and sitting on 1.4 acres of land.

Colin Farrell | $1.3 Million, Hollywood Hills

Some joint properties between lovers must be let go in order to move on – or so the saying goes. Colin Farrell and his former flame, Polish actress Alicia Bachleda-Curus, have listed their home in Hollywood Hills for $1.3 million. The home is a great addition to anyone’s real estate portfolio.

Their property has a beautiful view of Hollywood Hills. There’s a lot of room for a family in its 2,736 square feet of living space. It comes with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, spread across the three-story home. Despite their breakup, Farrell and Alicia manage to maintain its original design that has been its unique feature over the decades. The former couple even got their money back and more, given that they purchased the property for $1.18 million in 2010. It doesn’t take a finance degree to do the math for that one.

Don Lemon | $3.1 Million, Sag Harbor, Long Island

Don Lemon is living up to his name and living like the don that he is. The journalist, host, and television personality purchased his home in Sag Harbor back in 2016 for $3.1 million. It covers a quarter of an acre in Sag Harbor, Long Island, and was featured in Hamptons Magazine. Why wouldn’t it? According to reports, it was designed in the spirit of a Whaling Captain’s home. It features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a recreational basement with a built-in mahogany bar and guest suite, sprawling on 3,500 square feet of living space.

He spends his time in this property with his partner, Tim Malone, who works as both his realtor and financial advisor. This home remains to be a site of many beautiful memories between the two, and they indeed spend a lot of time here together during winter, basking in each other’s presence.

Pat Boone | $18.5 Million, Beverly Hills

Pat Boone may not be as well-known to younger generations but older generations will know him and remember his hits with fondness. He was an extremely successful singer in the 50s, second only to Elvis Presley.

Fans of his work may be surprised and interested to know that the singer has put his stately mansion up for sale for a hefty price of $18,499,000. It’s located in Beverly Hills and it comes with 48,000 square feet of space, 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and a large outdoor pool. The hip-roofed house was built in 1939 and came with large patio space and a garage that could fit three vehicles. To complete its great amenities, Boone made sure it had a swimming pool and expansive lawn with mature trees. It’s perfect for anyone looking to add to their investments or purchase a home for their growing family.

Phil McGraw | $6.95 Million, Beverly Hills

If you’ve ever seen the Cash Me Outside meme, then you know which show it came from. Phil McGraw, or Dr. Phil to his viewers and patients, may be the most famous psychologist in all of Hollywood. He’s got his own show, Dr. Phil, and frequently guests in other shows.

He’s had his share of run-ins with the law due to his controversial takes, all of which were taken care of by his lawyer. Despite this, Dr. Phil remains to be a steady icon in Hollywood. Where does he go after all that psychology work? He used to retire to his Beverly Hills mansion – though he did end up selling it for $6.95 million. The price is surely worth it with its five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a backyard pool, an elevated hot tub, and standalone cabana. They didn’t just get a home here, but a place to relax and get cozy.

Kim Zolciak-Biermann | Undisclosed Amount, Georgia

Kim Zolciak-Biermann rose to fame as part of the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She was such a success that she was given her own Bravo spinoff entitled Don’t Be Tardy for The Wedding. The hard work and fame paid off and the reality television star now chills in her resort-like mansion in Atlanta.

The value of the investment property remains unknown but we can imagine that it feels like a vacation to stay in the home due to its design and architecture, which is very similar to a hotel resort. She snapped a photo of her baby’s room back in 2014, and it was deemed too extravagant by her followers. Zolciak-Biermann designed the 17,000-square-foot house herself, and she believed she should be a decorator with how stunning it turned out. Well, if she’s got it, she can flaunt it.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen | $20 Million, Tribeca, New York

Yet another power couple on our list, this Brady-Bundchen pair truly exemplifies “couple goals”! He’s a professional football player and she’s a supermodel – a match made in Hollywood! After a long day of working and building their own empires, where do these two retreat to?

With their combined assets and investments, the couple purchased a $20 million apartment in Tribeca, New York. The apartment overlooks the Hudson River and sits on the 12th floor of their building. The couple gets to have a private entrance to their pad that has 4,657 square feet of living space. It comes with five and a half bathrooms, a 21-foot corner living room with a fireplace, and a master suite. This was a conscious decision between the two, given that Brady’s jersey number is 12. Maybe it was for luck or sentimental reasons, who knows?

Tom Brokaw | $6.3 Million, Westchester County

Tom Brokaw is a news media legend. He made history by being the only person to have hosted all three of NBC’s major news programs. These are The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, and Meet the Press. With all his fame and work, it’s no wonder he’s made bank.

This TV veteran listed this 53-acre estate in Westchester County for $6.3 million back in 2018. It’s a good price, given that he purchased the property two decades back for $2 million less than his asking price. However, in the end, he had to settle for $4.5 million – not bad, especially now that he’s free to expand on his other investments. The house in question is a stucco-and-shingle home that boasts 4,000 square feet of living space. It comes with four bedrooms and six bathrooms, connected to a screened port that gives a relaxing view, overlooking a private lake.

Steven Spielberg | $15 Million, Pacific Palisades

Steven Spielberg is widely recognized as a genius filmmaker, with films like Jaws, E.T., and Saving Private Ryan under his belt. His films are widely successful at the box office, gaining widespread attention and a new slew of pop culture references. These of course also made Spielberg a lot richer.

This is evident in his $15 million mansion in the Pacific Palisades. He and his family have been living in this 5-acre multi-home compound for several years. It was a good buy, which he obtained from the singer/songwriter Bobby Vinton. With his creativity and resources, his mansion looked exactly as one would expect from Spielberg. It was built with the same passion as Spielberg felt for his films. The property is definitely out of this world – to a great degree. In total, Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw, have a $200 million worth of real estate portfolio.

Judge Mathis | $3.29 Million, Tarzana, California

It is the perfect get-away for the family, too, with its five bedrooms and six bathrooms, spread across the U-shaped Mediterranean-inspired villa. It was built in the mid-‘90s, seated on an almost acre of land and with a perfect panoramic sunset view.

He originally purchased it for only $1.195 million, seven years before he put it up for sale. This means that he not only got his money back but he managed to profit from it too. Maybe Mathis can consider a career as a financial advisor in the future.

Valerie Bertinelli | Undisclosed Amount, Los Angeles

Valerie Bertinelli is a famed and respected actress as well as a television personality in Hollywood. She was once married to Eddie Van Halen – yes, the rock star super legend! Nowadays, Bertinelli has slowed down a bit, perhaps to spend more time in her beautiful home in Los Angeles. This is the place where Bertinelli chose to sit, read, and be with her animals. She and her now-husband, Tom Vitale, have five cats and one dog. Her favorite part of the house is the couch next to the kitchen, where she can focus on herself even for just a few minutes.

The mansion’s true value remains undisclosed but it’s known to have a beautiful view of the city as well as an infinity pool. Her husband, Tom Vitale, a popular financial advisor in LA, made a sweet gesture by planting grape vines around Bertinelli’s property. Well, now they’ll have free wine without having to swipe their credit card every now and then.

Craig Ferguson | $6 Million, Los Angeles

The host of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Ferguson is a multi-awarded television personality. He listed his home in Hollywood Hills for $6 million but due to lack of takers, he was forced to reduce the price to $5.199 million.

There’s no reason why there should be any lack of interest in the property. After all, not only is it a beautiful place, it also has a lot of history given that it was built more than a century ago, built back in 1909. Ferguson took care of the home and updated its parts, including the roofing and the heating system. It brags a shingle-clad multi-story home that has managed to maintain its original design, with some recreated arts and crafts details. It features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a library, a detached guest cottage, a gym, and a recording studio.

Tom Selleck | Undisclosed Amount, Los Angeles

Tom Selleck is a veteran American actor most known for his work in shows like Magnum P.I. and Three Men and a Baby. He’s still active to this day and is known to younger audiences as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan of Blue Bloods. The show is a great success and has been renewed for its eleventh season.

With the length of his career in Hollywood, it’s not surprising that Tom has acquired a neat little nest egg for himself, some of which he spent on his Los Angeles home. His home was designed by James Blakeley III and looks very much like an old rich bachelor’s home with its wooden flooring. Guests will be surrounded by different prints the moment they enter Selleck’s house. In contrast to the house’s woodwork, the outside looks vibrant with its unspotted palm trees.

Russell Crowe | $20 Million, Nana Glen, Australia

Russell Crowe has had a wide range of projects, from historical fiction films like Gladiator to a musical like Les Miserables. Our last example was where he exhibited his much-criticized singing. Regardless of the critics, Crowe enjoyed the success of the film along with his co-stars. However, tragedy almost struck when his home in Nana Glen, Australia was touched by the bushfires.

His 40-hectare property was one of the properties damaged by the fires, but luckily, his investments weren’t all burned to the ground. His $20 million rural enclave was relatively untouched, its only damage was some ashen structures. At least he didn’t need to cash in on his home insurance. Crowe felt very lucky that his house only sustained minimal damage. He thanked everyone who helped kill the fire, and he even did his own part, helping others, though it meant he had to miss the Golden Globe awards.

Dana Perino | Undisclosed Amount, Manhattan

From Wyoming to Manhattan, Dana Perino has truly gone far – quite literally in some aspects. The political commentator and former White House Press Secretary now stays at a stylish Manhattan apartment with her partner, Peter McMahon. The time she has to spend here helps her to appreciate the property more. She now loves its charms and soothing qualities, especially since it is near the shore.

Their relationship works like a well-oiled machine with McMahon supposedly being in charge of their household’s money management as both a businessman and entrepreneur. Eric Braeden | Undisclosed Amount, Los Angeles

Eric Braeden is an American-German actor known for his portrayal of Victor Newman on the soap opera The Young and Restless but you’ve probably seen him before in another groundbreaking film – The Titanic. He played John Jacob Astor IV in the film. Apparently, the actor lives in the mountains of Los Angeles, perhaps away from the hustle and bustle.

He and his wife have been living in a beautiful pad with 3,500 square feet of living space for 35 years. The interior design is nothing short of tasteful and he joked how all the credit goes to his wife – he merely signed a check and let her do what she wants. However, as the LA fire came rummaging properties, Braeden and his family had to evacuate. Luckily, his home remained unscathed. It had no damage, and we’re glad that his family was safe.

Djokovic is one of the big names in tennis, given his Grand Slam wins and endorsements of different brands. With the intense training that goes into honing his body and mind to that of a champion, Djokovic no doubt deserves to have a place to kick back and relax, and he chose Miami.

The tennis star bought a condominium worth $15 million in Miami, with its beautiful beaches and great atmosphere. He considers it as his “retreat” and while he and his family spend most of their time in Monaco. Stunning is an understatement to describe his opulent home. It gives him the most relaxing scenic view, being surrounded by ocean waters. It also features a number of hotel-like amenities, such as a swimming pool, sun deck, gated private park, and more. Miami is a great place to buy properties as real estate investments.

Genie Francis | $4 Million, California

Genie Francis’ claim to fame was her role as Laura Spencer in the hit television series, General Hospital. Despite winning a Daytime Emmy Award for her work in the series, she left it to pursue other projects at the height of her career. Some of which are Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Reckless, and All My Children.

She and her husband, Jonathan Frakes, listed their California mansion for $4 million. It’s a good price given that they only bought it for $2.8 million two years prior. Their investments in the property lie in its renovations, like its façade. They turned the tan walls into white, and the dark hardwood floors were replaced with European oak. The house comes with six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms, sprawling on 9,000 square feet of living space. To top off all of its great features, it has a rotunda-topped foyer with a sweeping staircase.

Anthony Geary | $950,000, Los Angeles

Another general Hospital alumni, Anthony Geary, played the role of Luke Geary for the show. Geary is an awarded actor with several Daytime Emmy Awards and Soapy Awards under his belt. The actor sold his fixer-upper property for $950,000, only $50,000 short of a million. It may look like it’s overpriced but given the property’s potential, it’s worth every penny.

According to reports, it seems to be Geary’s hobby and financial decision to buy cheaper real estate investments only to strategically put them on the market to make a profit. It’s a great financial decision, most likely one that he went over with his financial advisor. The properties he had sold were great and were worth every buyer’s penny, just like this LA home. It is a three-story home that has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, spread across 2,414 square feet of living space.

Denzel Washington | Undisclosed Amount, Beverly Hills

Denzel Washington is undoubtedly one of the best actors of his generation. His list of films mostly tackles serious topics much like his films Glory and Malcolm X. Washington’s last hit film was The Equalizer 2, with other projects still on the way.

Washington has several real estate investments all over the world, spread out wisely. However, it’s his mansion in Beverly Hills that has gotten the most amount of attention. Perhaps because it sits on a large piece of land – 28,887 square feet of it to be exact. He bought the property back in 1992 for only $2.67 million. It boasts 1.5 acres of land that comes with a swimming pool and a tennis court of its own. Washington can also assure of his and his family’s security here, given that it is located in a gated community inside Beverly Park.

Rick Harrison | $4 Million, Las Vegas

History Channel’s hit television show Pawn Stars launched Rick, his family, and their shop to fame but not many people believe that it will be enough for them to live the high life. Well, best believe it! Rick Harrison and his old man opened the World-Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop way back in 1989 and have since bought and sold some huge items.

These items – and perhaps the show as well – paved the way to a more luxurious life. Harrison is now living in a $4 million Las Vegas Pad with modern amenities, four bedrooms, a huge pool, and a strong home security system. These great features are spread across its 8,845 square feet of living space. The home is located in the gated community of Red Rock Estates inside the Red Rock Country Club. Harrison brought this place in 2016 for his family, but now that his kids are all grown up, he didn’t need its gigantic size anymore.

Jenelle Evans | Undisclosed Amount, North Carolina

Reality television is not for everybody and it’s not just about the audience, but it applies to the cast too. There’s something hugely exhausting that comes with exposing your “real life” for people to comment and judge. Perhaps it’s the same thing with Jenelle Evans who was part of MTV’S Teen Mom 2. She was fired from the show back in 2019.

However, it seems that she’s doing well and has used her saved up investments to buy a house in North Carolina. The price of the home remains undisclosed and it was later revealed to have an unfortunate and difficult drainage issue. However, according to reports, Evans is only visiting this place and mostly staying with his husband, David Eason, in Tennessee. As the North Carolina house and the Tennessee home are both under her name, she can pretty much go and stay wherever she wants to.

Cheryl Tiegs | $18.5 Million, Bel-Air, Los Angeles

If you grew up in the 70s, it’s impossible that you don’t know about Cheryl Tiegs. She’s easily one of the most recognizable faces of the decade with her wildly successful modeling career which landed her on the front pages of many magazines. She’s also a successful fashion designer.

Tiegs is selling her Balinese-style mansion in Bel-Air for $18.5 million. The price is not surprising given its location and the investments that went into its construction. It is also good to note that it is located in a posh neighborhood—a well-known place in Hollywood that features the most luxurious homes. The location even gets a triple-A as it is also completely secluded but still close to town. It seems that Cheryl Tiegs is not only fashion-savvy but also business-savvy as she’ll be turning in a lot of profit since she bought the mansion for $2.49 million in 1996.

Marshawn Lynch | $3.6 Million, Bay Area

It’s no secret that American professional athletes make big bucks from their contracts and endorsements, even more if they’re particularly loved by the public. The same can be applied to Marshawn Lynch, an American professional football player.

The athlete owns an impressive $3.6 million pad in the Bay Area. Its amenities include five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a wine cellar, and its own boat deck that is 58 feet long! Do you think these are the best features that it has? Wait until you know that it has 7,000 square feet of living space, located by a waterfront. Lynch is probably enjoying its bay view through its gigantic windows, which can help him relax after a tiring day. Seems like Lynch is planning to buy his own boat soon! As celebrity life goes, Lynch values his privacy and safety and he invested in a top-of-the-line home security system for this property. The home was featured in different lifestyle websites.

All his work on the small screen paid off and he now owns a $.5.75 million mansion in California. The property sits on a 1.5-acre estate and comes with its own recording studio, six bedrooms, a basketball court, and a swimming pool. He maximized his studio to his credit, as he’s part of a band named Destiny. According to reports, John used a trust to buy this home from the Swedish music producer, Adam Anders, and his wife, the singer Nikki Anders. The couple bought this house for only $2.2 million back in 2010, earning them a profit even after everything that they had spent on it.

Norman Reedus | $11.8 Million, New York

Norman Reedus is probably best-known for playing Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead. With
an affinity for shooting arrows and keeping everybody else alive, he’s the type you’d want to stick to during a zombie apocalypse. When he’s not out slaying zombies, the actor retreats to his $11.8 million mansion with his wife, Diane Kruger.

A large amount of investment money they’ve put into the home seems to be well worth it with its brick exterior and a fabulous view of the Manhattan skyline. The couple values their privacy and since they moved in, no photos of the house’s interior have been leaked. The Wall Street Journal revealed they opted for an off-market deal. However, the house’s previous listing noted that it was about 3,800 square feet with five bedrooms and four baths. It is a federal home built in the 19th century with four floors and eight fireplaces.

Liam Hemsworth | $6.8 Million, Malibu

Liam Hemsworth, along with his then-wife Miley Cyrus, bought this beautiful Malibu mansion from musician Matthew Wilder for a huge amount of investment money – $6.8 million in total. However, the celebrations were short-lived because unfortunately, this beautiful property perished in 2018, destroyed by the wildfires in the area.

Mother Nature is a cruel mistress and she left nothing after her rage. Photos of the home after the fire circulated on the internet and showed it as nothing but a heap. However, Liam had it rebuilt with his Hollywood movie money and it even looks way better and cooler than it originally did. He then put it on the market and was eventually sold for only $3.6 million. With the damage it had sustained, the huge price slash was not a surprise at all. He might have lost half of what he paid for to buy this property, but at least Hemsworth still gained something from it.

Bo Derek | $2.5 Million, Santa Ynez, California

The 80s was Bo Derek’s decade. This despite that she was awarded and nominated for the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress multiple times. Although the industry wasn’t kind to her and the films she made with her former husband, John Derek, Bo still persevered.

Nowadays, she’s in semi-retirement, only coming out to make occasional films and television appearances. She looks much happier in her little paradise in Santa Ynez, California, with her long-time boyfriend, John Corbett. The home sits on a 31-acre ranch and is also home to Derek’s many Andalusian horses. It includes the main house that has 5,000 square feet of living space, two caretaker apartments, and a barn that has a sprawling 2,000-square-foot space with six stalls. Of course, it has its own horse arena and features pastures and access to riding trails. She gets the credit for being the home’s designer.

Mehmet Oz | $18 Million, Palm Beach, Florida

Dr. Oz is a Turkish-American citizen that was catapulted to fame because of his frequent appearances in the illustrious and famous The Oprah Winfrey Show. He’s a cardiothoracic surgeon by profession but got his fame (or infamy) as a pseudoscience promoter. This led to some controversies. And many people frown about the fact he’s been promoting several non-evidence-based alternative medicinal products.

In any case, Dr. Oz and his wife purchased an $18 million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida. A great addition to Oz’s many investments. It seems like a family affair given that it’s reported that his parents own two other homes in the area. Dr. Oz has been visiting Palm Beach since time immemorial. In fact, he and his family have been going here for decades, so this is probably the best time for him to have a property here and make it their own get-away home.

Stephen Colbert | Undisclosed Amount, South California

Stephen Colbert is best known as the host of the satirical Comedy Central program The Colbert Report and CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The famous comedian apparently spent his childhood in an old house in southern California that’s known for its distinct turn-of-the-century roofing.

The house has been around since 1810 and Colbert lived in it for 20 years with his parents and 10 siblings. The house is located in Charleston, South California. Attached to his childhood and his fame, the house has become a popular spot for tourists. It’s a house that many of his fans visit and take pictures of. Now, Colbert is mostly spending his time in his New Jersey house. The place even became the set of his The Late Show when he started working from home. As fans occasionally get a glimpse of his lavish abode, they commended him for his luxurious taste.

Nicolas Cage | $10.95 Million, San Francisco

There was a time when one couldn’t mention Hollywood without mentioning Nicolas Cage. There was no season where he didn’t have a film being shown in theaters, or a month where he wasn’t shooting for a film. The multi-award-winning actor was once one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood, with films such as Conair and Ghost Rider.

Unfortunately, he faced several financial issues in the past and was advised by his financial advisor to sell some of the properties in his real estate portfolio. In 2007, he sold his cathedral-style home in San Francisco for $10.95 million. The actor even had a good deal for interested buyers back then. He offered a 40 x 60 foot Hyde Street vacant lot for an additional $3 million if bought together. With this amount of money, he should be able to offset much of his losses.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka | $5.5 Million, East Hamptons

There’s nothing more fun than watching this couple and their children own Halloween year after year, with their coordinated and well-thought-out costumes. They’re very active on social media so if you’re looking for any inspiration for your own Halloween costume, you’re in luck!

The couple has been together since 2007 after Burtka’s guest appearance in How I Met Your Mother. They were the first openly acknowledged same-sex couple to attend the Emmy’s in that same year. They welcomed their twins through surrogacy in 2010. The twins have a wide place to run around in their East Hamptons home which they purchased sometime 2017 for $5.5 million. Minnie Driver | $2.5 Million, Hollywood Hills

Minnie Driver’s claim to fame is her role as Skylar in Gus Van Sant’s Good Will Hunting, as well as her other roles, including in The Riches and The Phantom of the Opera. She bought her Bohemian-style home in Hollywood Hills for $2.5 million. The style may not be up to everyone’s taste but it was heavily influenced by her “English gypsy” upbringing. Buyers were probably enticed when they found out that it was a walled and gated residence, ensuring everyone’s safety.

She shared in an interview that she enlisted the help of an English Designer, Gaynor Churchward, to give life to her vision for the house. Driver spent much of her childhood traveling with her parents in Barbados, Spain, and France. Aside from its beautiful and colorful interior–and customized furniture–the home also has an enviable home security system and mini-theater.

Shephard Smith | $4.9 Million, New York

Shephard Smith reportedly put his Greenwich apartment for sale for $4.9 million. The American Broadcast journalist is a smart businessman. If he gets to sell his apartment, he’d be earning millions more than he invested in it. He bought the property back in 2004 for only $1.87 million, after all. The charming loft features a 40-foot gallery, a room with a 13-foot ceiling, and windows that are facing the south. It also comes with a lavish kitchen that has its own custom kitchen cabinets, backsplash, and a granite center island.

However, he had to drop the price twice due to the lack of interest in the property. Once in 2011, when it was listed for $4 million. He reduced it again to $3.95 million a few months after. He tried to sell it again in 2017, though there hasn’t been news about whether it’s been sold. Regardless, credit goes to Shephard for trying.

Bill O’Reilly | Undisclosed Amount, Long Island

Bill O’Reilly seems like the guy who has his lawyer on speed dial given the deluge of lawsuits filed against him in recent years. As a political commentator, he was once considered to be Fox’s biggest celebrity in the 20 years he’s been hosting and headlining his own show on Fox, The O’Reilly Factor.

While being hounded by lawsuits is not enviable, at least O’Reilly can retreat to his Long Island mansion. The massive estate boasts an old-century design and a beautiful ocean view. The price of the property remains undisclosed but given its sheer size, it doesn’t take much to know that it’s expensive. According to reports, O’Reilly wanted to build his own mansion that’s why he bought this property, but he wanted it to be low-key. He even hired the Farrell Building Company to fulfill his dream and work on his project.

Tommy Hilfiger | $27.5 Million, Florida

You may not know the man, but you definitely know his brand. Tommy Hilfiger is one of the biggest fashion designers in America. He started his career after co-founding a chain of fashion stores called People’s Place in New York back in the ‘70s. It was in 1985 that he founded the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation to pursue his own brand and vision.

The millionaire is letting go of his massive Florida mansion for $27.5 million. It embodies the artist’s personality and tastes, from its colors to its designs, furniture, art, and flooring. One of its best features is a pop-art installation that comes with an array of bold colors, geometric patterns, and curated pieces. He and his wife bought the place back in 2013 for much cheaper than they’re selling it for. However, given the renovations done in the home, it’s very justifiable.

Rush Limbaugh | $65 Million, Palm Beach Estate

Yet another political commentator on our list, Rush Limbaugh, is best known as the host of the radio show, The Rush Limbaugh Show, where he airs his often controversial opinions about political events. Reportedly, Limbaugh has a net worth of over $600 million. Thus, it’s not surprising that he splurged on an investment property worth $65 million.

The mansion has 24,000 square feet and its own private beach. The upkeep of the property must be insanely back-breaking but Limbaugh can easily afford it. It has three to four guest houses, a fountain, and houses Limbaugh’s fleet of white and black Maybach 57S. The property also has five separate houses, aside from the huge mansion, and another four buildings for guests. You’ll be surprised to know that the place offers no visible security, despite its lavish features and unique amenities. It seems that Limbaugh is truly confident of his safety.

Matt Damon | $15 Million, Pacific Palisades

Like Bel-Air, the Pacific Palisades is the place to be if you’re a star. There’s something about the place that’s got celebrities wanting a piece of property in it. This includes Matt Damon, one of the industry’s top personalities.

He bought a $15 million mansion in the area back in 2012 as an addition to his investment portfolio. It was around the time that Ben Affleck, his close friend, was also living in Pacific Palisades. Perhaps Affleck’s presence was a huge factor in Damon’s decision to move in because when Affleck left, Damon tried to get his investment money back in 2015 by listing his property on the market for $20 million. The Damon family has now moved into their six-bedroom penthouse at the Standish in Brooklyn Heights, New York, which they bought for a staggering price of $16.745 million in 2018.

Adam Sandler | $12 Million, California

Hollywood funnyman Adam Sandler has gone farther than even he must have expected after starting as a regular Saturday Night Live cast member. He went on to star in box-office comedy films like Grown-Ups, The Wedding Singer, and the rom-com 50 First Dates. His films raised his net worth after making $2 billion at the box office.

It’s no wonder he didn’t settle for less than this $12 million mansion in California. According to rumors, the property was formerly owned by power-couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. It boasts 12,860 square feet of living space, seating on two-thirds acres of land. The house is located in the exclusive street of Brentwood and was built back in 1990. With his $420 million net worth, Sandler probably didn’t have to consult his financial advisor for this purchase. He’s living a great and generous life. At one point, he even gifted his co-stars with Maseratis, which reportedly cost him $200,000 per piece.

Jennifer Lopez | $9.9 Million, California

Jenny from the block has definitely gone beyond just one block. As one of the most bankable singers and artists of her generation, she’s gone from small performances to selling out coliseums and performing in the Super Bowl. She’s gone from just occupying a block and owning a home that occupies more than a few blocks.

Her massive 17,129-square-foot home in California was bought for $8.2 million back in 2010. At the time, she was still married to her former husband, Marc Anthony. The house is located in the gated neighborhood of Hidden Hills and is on a massive three acres of land. The mansion was definitely built for glamour because it came with a 20-seat movie theater and its own recording studio. Lopez listed it on the market for $17 million in 2015 and ended up selling it for $9.9 million in 2017. However, it was still more than enough to get her investment money back.

Paul McCartney | Undisclosed Amount, London

You’d think being part of one of the biggest bands in history would warrant living in a mansion, right? Well, Paul McCartney has always been a cut above the rest. Instead of a mansion, the legend lives in an unassuming, modest little house at 7 Cavendish Avenue in St. John’s Wood, London.

McCartney has a net worth of $1.2 billion and he could’ve easily bought a more extravagant home. However, one can’t deny the charm of this house, which he bought from a physician for £40,000 back in 1965. It is a three-story Regency townhouse, originally owned by a physician named Desmond O’ Neil. McCartney probably bought this house as it was only a few steps away from EMI Studios on Abbey Road, where the band’s group meetings took place. Nevertheless, Paul McCartney still has a lot of other real estate investments as well.

Eddie Murphy | $85 Million, Hollywood Hills

Eddie Murphy’s name is synonymous with the word “comedy” in Hollywood. He got his start as a regular cast on Saturday Night Live, a show he stayed with for almost five years. Murphy went on to star in films such as Dreamgirls, 48 Hrs., and the Beverly Hills Cop series. He’s even dabbled into voice acting and is most known for doing the voice of Donkey from the Shrek franchise.

Given all this, Eddie Murphy definitely has more than enough investment money to buy a majestic mansion in Hollywood Hills worth $85 million. It features a whopping 14 acres of land with 32,000 square feet of living space. You can expect it to have the best of amenities such as a sunken tennis court pavilion, a cabana, a swimming pool, and more. Given that his net worth is somewhere around $130 million, this isn’t a big deal to him.

Jennifer Lawrence | $8 Million, Beverly Hills

Jennifer Lawrence may have had her start in the young adult franchise, Hunger Games, but she’s since moved on to more mature roles, like in the films Silver Linings Playbook and Passengers. Lawrence is known for her candidness in talk shows and award shows and has always preferred to go under the radar.

However, her home is very much the opposite. It’s luxurious to a huge degree, having been previously owned by Ellen Degeneres and Jessica Simpson. Given her celebrity status, Lawrence preferred to keep the interior of her home private, but from the façade, it’s easy to tell that it looks amazing! It comes with 5,500 square feet of living space, located in the exclusive gated community of Beverly Hills. The house screams lavish with a sweeping staircase, a classy living room, a formal dining room, a gourmet kitchen, and more. It’s the perfect getaway for the star.

Jessica Alba | $9.95 Million, Beverly Hills

Jessica Alba must have been every boy’s crush in the 2000s as she starred in films like Fantastic Four, Valentine’s Day, and Sin City. With these films, she achieved official celebrity status. And where do celebrities buy their houses? In Beverly Hills, of course!

Alba dropped $9.95 million worth of investment money for this Beverly Hills mansion. It is described as “East Coast-inspired Hamptons traditional” with its aesthetic. It has seven bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms, with 8,829 square feet of living space and sitting on 1.85 acres of land. Acting isn’t her only source of income, however. In 2011, Alba founded The Honest Company. The Honest Company is a consumer goods company that sells baby, personal, and household products. It seems to be doing well, given that its value reached shy of $1 billion back in 2017.

Terry Semel | $50 Million, Malibu

Terry Semel is the founder of Windsor Media, the production company that produced the film, Rules Don’t Apply. He was also the CEO of Yahoo! between 2001 to 2007. Before that, he was with Warner Bros as its chairman and CEO for 24 years. Given his illustrious career in big companies, it’s no question that the man’s a millionaire living the high life.

Perhaps he was moving on to other investments when he decided to sell his Malibu beach house to Larry Ellison, the fourth richest person in America. The mansion was bought in 2012 and it was the biggest and most expensive real estate purchase in Malibu at the time. How could it not be? It got nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and 151 feet of prime waterfront space. The massive property also features three separate pavilions: the main house, the screening pavilion, and the guest house. These are just some of the best features that it has, and there are a whole lot more.

Julia Roberts | $8 Million, Malibu

Julia Roberts has been hailed as the most beautiful woman for so many years, and to a degree, it still rings true to this day. She gave life to a few of the most interesting leading characters in films like Vivian Ward from Pretty Woman and Anna Scott from Notting Hill.

The actress is known for being privy, so she also remains mum when she sold her Malibu property that she owned in a trust for $8 million. Details about the deal were scant as the transaction was reportedly off the market, but there is some information about the house. It was about a one-acre gated estate that featured three bedrooms, a ranch house, gardens, a riding ring, a motor court, and a gigantic grassy field. Roberts bought this place for only $6.84 million back in 2015—another off-the-market deal before its foreclosure.

Jeff Bezos | $13 Million, California

What’s wildly expensive to common people is just spare change to Jeff Bezos. To a man with a $150 billion net worth, a $13 million mansion is nothing to bat their eyes at. For someone with billions of dollars to his name, the price of this home is almost spare change. This is no surprise, given that he’s the founder, CEO, and president of Amazon.

Not surprisingly, this home is just one of his real estate investments in California. Recently, he bought a $165 million mansion in Beverly Hills, shattering the previous record for the most expensive home ever sold in California. It was David Geffen’s famous Warner estate, which was about nine acres and had a world of its own. It got the best features that you could find, like a golf course, a tennis court, and a pool surrounding the Georgian-style, massive mansion.

Drake | $7.7 Million, Hidden Hills

Drake’s definitely come far from his humble Canadian roots. The Canadian rapper has enjoyed fame with his countless records and sold-out concerts. He has collaborated with countless artists in the industry, raking in even more dough.

It’s only fitting that he lives according to his capabilities. Drake bought a mansion for $7.7 million in Hidden Hills. Aerial shots of his home show a tennis court, a beautiful pool with artificial falls, and a very large free-open area. It’s one of the rapper’s smarter investments, given that the asking price for the property used to be $27 million back in 2009. It is indeed an “over-the-top residence” with its great amenities—that’s why it is called “Yolo” or you only live once. Drake will surely enjoy his time living here with its sprawling, cave-like, illuminating swimming pool. He has evidently turned this place into a perfect gentleman’s manor.

David Letterman | Undisclosed Amount, Saypo, Montana

Retirement looks good on David Letterman. After decades of work on tv as the host of Late Night with Letterman on NBC, the illustrious host and writer had finally decided to draw the curtains on his life’s work.

But he’s keeping his curtains open in his home in Saypo, Montana. Now that he’s got a lot more time on his hands, he spends most of them on this property. Although the actual price of the property remains undisclosed, it doesn’t take a finance degree to know how expensive this 2700-acre land can be, even back in 2007. It’s definitely a good place to get some rest. It’s called a Deep Creek Ranch The property has a 3,276-square-foot living space and features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a detached garage.

Nancy Grace | $1.5 Million, Atlanta

From one tv personality to another, Nancy Grace is a known American legal commentator and host. She hosted her self-titled show, Nancy Grace, for over a decade between 2005 to 2016. Given the nature of her work, where does Nancy Grace retreat to get some peace of mind?

It used to be in her home in Atlanta. However, she’s since put the property on the market. According to sources, the house was so loved by Nancy Grace that she put in a lot of investment money to have it renovated. It’s a good thing her investments paid off given that she bought the property only for $407,500 in 1996. She completed two major overhauls and added a second level. Grace left no trace of the old house and renewed every inch of it, from the roof to the flooring. The home now has a more western style, and looks a little rustic, featuring a deer-antler chandelier and wood beams.

Lynda Carter | Undisclosed Amount, Maryland

Before the world knew Wonder Woman as Gal Gadot, they first knew her as Lynda Carter. She played the iconic comic book character in the show, Wonder Woman, that lasted from 1975 to 1979 on CBS.

Nowadays, Lynda Carter seems to be still living a super life in her mansion in Maryland. The property sits on 20,000 square feet of space and comes with an underground swimming pool, a hot tub, and an artificial waterfall. Lynda Carter has been living in the property with her husband for over 25 years. It’s gone through its fair share of renovations that the couple considers as investments. The house features a Georgian style, and Carter and her husband reveal that they experience “so much joy” in this property. The actress uses her designing skills here, putting some eclectic pieces here and there. She loves mixing English and French decor, along with some Danish and Chinese antiques.

Kiefer Sutherland | $10.5 Million, Montana

Kiefer Sutherland and Julia Roberts were supposed to get married in 1990 after they fell in love and co-starred in Flatliners. However, for reasons unknown and unconfirmed, Roberts flew to Ireland on the day of their wedding and the wedding didn’t take place. Aside from the expenses for the wedding, Sutherland had to deal with the expenses for the home he built for Roberts.

The Lake House in Whitefish Montana cost a staggering $10.5 million for Sutherland, and it sits on a 5.5-acre property. It seems like a lot of thought was put into it, from its flooring to its log walls. Roberts missed seeing the stunning, secluded, and perfect landscaped lakeside house, surrounded by lush green trees, that her ex-fiance prepared for her. It has 1,020 square feet of living space, perfect for building a new family. Their supposed humble abode has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a self-contained two-bed guest house.

Billy Joel | $35 Million, Miami Beach, Florida

Whether or not you know Billy Joel, what can be certain is that you’ve heard at least some of his songs. The Piano Man churned out the biggest hits of the ‘70s, like the history-laden song We Didn’t Start The Fire. The artist produced 33 Top 40 hits in the US throughout his 20-year career.

Despite all his talent, it seems like he lacks success in real estate. He bought this mansion in Miami Beach, Florida, for $12 million in 2014, only to sell it the year after. Due to the lack of interest, he reduced the price from $35 million to $29 million, then finally to $16 million. He also sold his small, Spanish-style villa in Miami Beach for only $5 million to the developer Todd Michael Glaser. The latter already had plans in mind on how to renovate the place.

Miley Cyrus | $1.7 Million, Malibu

Miley Cyrus has had her ups and downs both in the industry and in her love life. She went from being Hannah Montana from Disney channel to a controversial artist that pushed boundaries in awards shows. After her break up with Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus bought a beautiful Malibu mansion, adding it to her investments.

In 2018, it was burned to the ground by the Woolsey Fire of California but Cyrus had it rebuilt in 2019 before listing it on the market for $1.7 million. This is a loss for her given that she bought it for a lot more back in 2015, but the new owner is a lucky one. The contemporary house comes with a bold shade of turquoise and is secluded, hiding behind a long, tree-lined drive. It has four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a huge open-plan kitchen, an indoor/outdoor dining room, and a driveway that has a charging station for electric cars.

Rob Lowe | $45.5 Million, Santa Barbara

Rob Lowe started his career at the young age of 15 back in the ‘80s with films like St. Elmo’s Fire, Square Dance, and The Outsiders. Given his long successful career, he could’ve easily bought a mansion as his fellow stars do but Lowe decided to go another route.

He built his Montecito mega-mansion from the ground up. From its flooring to its façade, Lowe put in a lot of thought into the design and look of the house. He and his wife originally placed it in the market for $47 million before lowering the price due to a lack of market interest. It is finally sold at $45.5 million and the new owner would surely enjoy everything that the couple worked hard for. The 3.4-acre lot features 20 rooms, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, crown moldings, and bay windows that surround the whole house.

Alex Trebek | $4 Million, Los Angeles

Alex Trebek is the much-beloved host of the long-time running game show Jeopardy! since 1984. Surprisingly, he put up his old home for sale in 2009 for $2.2 million. The home had been with him since 1984 – the same year he started hosting Jeopardy!

Trebek claimed that the vibe of the place didn’t fit him anymore and will probably suit an “up and coming” star better. Of course, it’s understandable given how much a person can change in almost two decades. Trebek reportedly said that it’s not made for a small family, composed of a couple and two kids. It might only be right for artists who live alone, calling it an “entertainer’s paradise,” and not for building a family. It was bought by a foreign diplomat–and while it wasn’t stated whether he was a lawyer, the property was again listed on the market for $4 million.

Katy Perry | $4 Million, Los Angeles

Katy Perry came into the music scene with Roar in the late 2000s and established a career that’s fruitful up to this day. She’s not only a singer and performer but also a style icon to many. Knowing this, it’s not surprising that she amassed a sizable fortune and now owns a $4 million Mediterranean-style mansion in Los Angeles.

The home is one of her greatest investments. It comes with a massive pool and a gorgeous view of the Los Angeles skyline. Reportedly, this beautiful mansion is just one of Perry’s real estate properties in California. As she now stays in Beverly Hills with her fiancé, Orlando Bloom. The LA property is currently on the market for $7.95 million. It boasts an acre of land, located in the guard-gated community of Hidden Valley. It carries a traditional home and is about 4,400 square feet big.

Christie Brinkley gained worldwide recognition after appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues in the ‘70s. She was also at one point the face of the makeup brand, Cover Girl. This became her ticket to entering Hollywood as an actress and television personality before going off and focusing on her businesses – one of which is the Christie Brinkley Authentic Skin Care line.

Brinkley was reported to have listed her 20-acre Hamptons estate for $30 million back in 2016. The property has been on the market since 2002, so it’s a wonder why nobody has bought it and added it to their investments yet. According to her real estate agent, Enzo Morabito from Douglas Elliman, the property includes eight bedrooms, and that the house has been built more than 100 years ago. Some of its unique features are the 50-foot observation tower and a good view of Connecticut, the Atlantic Ocean, and the “curvature of Earth.”

Ann Coulter | $577,000, New York City

Ann Coulter is known as a far-right media pundit, author, columnist, and lawyer. She’s been ruffling feathers left and right since she started to appear in the public eye. She’s made controversial statements on large platforms and has 12 best-selling books. Anne Coulter decided to purchase a $577,000-apartment in the Upper East Side in 2016. Reportedly, Coulter got a great price for it given the place’s market value. It has 1,400 square feet of living space and comes with two beds, a wood-burning fireplace, high ceilings, and light windows. Coulter seemed to have it renovated back then after its listing included a note that said, “need full renovation.”

We expect the house now looks much better, being one of her best investments, adding to her real estate portfolio. Coulter also owns a house in Palm Beach, Florida, a condominium in Manhattan, and another apartment in Los Angeles.

John Travolta | $10.5 Million, Florida

Older generations might know him from Grease while younger generations might know him from Pulp Fiction–either way, everybody knows John Travolta. Many people don’t get to fulfill their childhood dream, but not John. After dreaming to be a pilot since he was a child, John finally fulfilled it and more.

His sprawling estate in Florida had its own airplane runway! However, surprisingly, the actor put it up for sale for only $10.5 million. It has some of the best features, like the main Muriel Vanderbilt mansion, a swimming pool, and a Nautilus-quipped fitness center. The house also boasts a conference center/banquet hall that can hold up to 400 people and a 90,000-square-foot warehouse complex. The reason for his decision remains largely unknown, and there hasn’t been any news of financial difficulties on his part. Perhaps, he’s just moving on to other investments and dreams.

The 3-million-dollar apartment features two bedrooms, a kitchen with a breakfast bar connecting to the dining room, a living room with a marble-clad fireplace, and a balcony for her to look at the gardens below, as well as the Empire State Building beyond.
